In fact, if you upgrade before the deadline, you'll jump ahead of all the "free" members who came in after you. You'll receive emails a few times per day telling you how many hundreds of free and upgraded members are below you�and that you will lose if you don't upgrade before the next deadline. They may even show you their names! Are they lying about these stats? No! But let's look at an example pay plan: You get paid $5 for the fist person in the powerline who upgrades below you and $3 for the next person. What about the $1 per head Platinum and Diamond sign-up bonuses all the way down through infinity? Let's do the math: If there are 10,000 paid members in the powerline, when the 10,001st member upgrades the company would have to pay out $10,000�$1 to each member above that new one. How are they going to squeeze $10,000 out of a $70 sign-up fee? They're not going to! Way down the page somewhere you may find a fine print link that will take you to a page that defines the terms "Platinum" and "Diamond". You find that to qualify as "Platinum" you need to personally enroll 100 active members. To qualify as "Diamond" you need to personally enroll 300 active members OR have 3 personally enrolled Platinums. So, in exchange for YOUR $70 sign-up fee, you at least earned $8. Right? Then commission time arrives and you look for your $8�where is it? Read the fine print in the terms of service and you see that commissions are not paid until they owe you at least $10. Yikes! You're going to have to do some personal recruiting and keep paying your $30 monthly membership fee if you ever want to get paid. The bottom line is: there is no such thing as a free lunch! If it looks like a fish, and smells like a fish..... It seems the Kanosis opportunity attracted quite a few shady characters who were motivated by their own profit with no consideration for helping their downline. By doing business with these types of people (e.g. the Uniclear debacle), Kanosis may have damaged its reputation beyond repair. There are too many broken promises and major red flags with this otherwise good product (COIL). My system, based on honesty and integrity, focuses on what's good for its members...NOT on what makes quick cash for its owners. We decided we could no longer promote Kanosis...because of our commitment to honesty and integrity. The TRUTH About�HYIP High-Yield Investment Programs. You see them all over the internet. They promise you'll earn a double digit interest rate daily on your investment for a period of days. Some of them are disguised as paid-to-surf traffic exchanges. You calculate the ROI (return-on-investment) and realize that you'll double your money in less than a month! What a deal! If you believe that, we know somebody from Arkansas who will teach you how to profit $100,000 from cattle futures in one month! The life cycle of these programs is predictable�you watch and see it over and over again. First the owner puts the thing online with THE BIG LAUNCH. This is the initial promotional phase. Next comes the TESTIMONIAL phase as the first group of people starts withdrawing their earnings. You see the favorable "Paying" status rating on sites that track these programs. Then comes the POPULARITY phase, as hundreds of members advertise their affiliate pages on the traffic exchanges. This may last for quite awhile as the popularity increases. Then comes the EXCUSE phase. This is when the owner blames faulty servers for the site being down, or nasty payment processors for the withdrawals not going through, etc. This is a sign that the program is in trouble. The owner assures you that the problem is being worked on. There may then be a brief REORGANIZATION phase. The owner claims to have found a more reliable server, processor, etc. Last is the VANISHING ACT. The program simply disappears. This is probably a good thing, except that your money vanished along with it. In truth, most of these programs are what are known as Ponzi schemes. Carlos "Charles" Ponzi was a notorious real dude who presented himself as an investment genius. He had an idea involving converting Spanish postage stamps into American. Ponzi talked someone into giving him money, promising to double it in 90 days. Next he would talk some more people into giving him money, promising the same thing. He was thus able to pay back the first person double and gain a testimonial. This process was duplicated for awhile until Ponzi had amassed millions, but owed millions more. Yes, he went to jail. In fairness, there may be some legitimate programs on the internet. But, if there are, they're probably promising a return rate of less than 1% per day.
